Hi everyone
This week I got a marrow in the veg box so wondered if any of you had some good recepies eg stuffed. I want to get the children to do it with me otherwise there will be no hope of them eating it!! I was thinking maybe couscous instead of rice but would love all ideas please. ???

grate it into chocolate cake mix  ;D

Do you eat meat? If so I would do a bolognase type stuffing. If you don't eat meat, perhaps a veggie version of that using TVP or lentils might be nice.
Dahl would be good  smile
Or fry up some onion, garlic, peppers, tomatoes, lentils and spinach and top with boursin, feta or a vegan equivalent. Yummmmm

Hi,

as a child one of our regular dinners was stuffed marrow, it was stuffed with

mushroom & onion (finely chopped and fried) mixed with ground peanuts (roasted) and equal amount of breadcrumbs obvioulsy add herbs etc and then scoop out some of the middle of the marrow to make room for filling, then boil the marrow - for a very short time, pack the filling in and bake in oven - we used to eat it with cheese sauce and it was delicious!

Years ago I remember eating stuffed marrow where the stuffing was flavoured with rosemary - it was gorgeous as the marrow picked up the aromatic rosemary beautifully. Unfortunately I can't remember what was in the stuffing except rice. Maybe, if you eat meat a lamb and rice stuffing would be nice? I keep meaning to experiment myself to recreate it but never get round to it.
