So far this year I have made my beanbag, some baby hats and started a secret project for the children for Valentines day.  I also started the second sock of a pair I am making for myself.

I am so going to try that balaclava! its fab, also want to make bath melts, some wrist warmers, socks and a new peg bag with some lovely remenants i have. I have lots of things i would like to do as i dont have any fairs until may !

Oh yes and mil has given me her old (used twice  ::)) bread maker! so i plan to be a bit more creative in the kitchen!lol

Ketty x

I find a breadmaker really useful - although typically it acts as rather a glorified kneading machine at times (so I can pull the resultant dough out and make rolls, or the children shape it.

It's a quiet time for fayres this time of year, so you might as well take the opportunity to get other things done smile

My DH has kept the little ones out of my way and I dont go to bed until gone midnight.  The beanbag only took a couple of hours and the hats were really quick and simple too.  Plus I know I am on limited time so I have to squeeze in as much as I possibly can, lol

I'm dithering at the moment.

But my next thing is a MT for my nearly 2 year olds birthday in February. And some little bean bags for her too.
Have to finish wading through the post Christmas mess first though ;-(

Having been inspired by Starchild's new blog I've started a few more projects of my own!

So in the pipeline I now have:-

some felt blossom fairies
a butterfly mobile
a toweling teething doll for the new baby
some little felt balls

.....just waiting for my new supplies to arrive from Myriad and Paper and String. I should have about 5 weeks until newborn mania puts crafty projects on hold for a while  wink.

I've also finally put the face on a little teddy bear I made for Jake one wet afternoon in the early summer. Better late than never hey! I'll put a piccie on the blog later.

The children and I all made a sock monkey yesterday which have been big hits all round, but I am so sick to death of sewing and threading and cutting I doubt I'll voluntarily do it again for at least 6 months!

I guess i'm just not cut out for crafty stuff…..........or gardening, or baking, or making  :-\

Man, i'm useless  ;D

You've all made me feel better about my pile of 'works in progress' lol  wink
I'm working on a pair of fingerless gloves/wrist warmers for myself, a pair of mittens for DS, finishing a pair of knitted trousers off (my Nan knitted them, I just need to thread the elastic, don't know why it's taking me so long to get around to it lol), a set of felt hens for DS, and finishing the knitted advent calender I started this year for next year lol…hope I get that done in the next 11 months!! I got a lovely book for Christmas, Creative Play for your Toddler (I've had the baby version too, great ideas), so of course I want to make everything from there too now! Ah well at least I have lots of inspiration for this year's birthdays and next Christmas  ;D

You are welcome Shell!  smile

I am making felt corsages and embellished hair bands.  They are fun and easy and I can make them pretty quickly so satisfying too.  I am thinking about selling them I am enjoying them so much smile

I just knitted myself a hat but it was too small so my ds has another.  I have another on the needles.

i am also planning two dolls for my dd's b'day.  One a baby waldorf style ( I have made a few so far and they turned out so sweetly I was so pleased, although my boys kinda don't bother so much with theirs now) the other is one I saw online,  and I am making it from this super soft organic plush material, it is so soft, I love that stuff.

I want to make so many more things though - I just ordered material from fabric rehab for making covers for the kitchen chairs, and I want to make one of those knitting needle storage cases that rolls up, and also I want to experiment more with the felt stuff - both needle felting and sewing from felted sheets.  I have so many ideas, but time - well, none really, when my LO's are in bed!

In the kitchen I'd really like to experiment more with salad-y types of things, I feel the need to go more in that area and also I am having this thing with nuts lately and just want them all day long.

My kind dh bought my a magimix for Christmas and it is fantastic I am having a blast whizzing pretty much everything up in there.  Our meals kinda follow along from my thinking how I can fit another use in :lol  Perfect for my baby dd tho, she is benefiiting no end from pureed mush for every meal.  Although ha, she is still pretty much breastfed and only has a spoonful or two a day…..

anyway, loving reading about all of your inspiring projects!

Ah, I know that feeling well, when just putting socks on in the morning is a huge effort.  And I guess every time you stand up to get something, you need another trip to the loo!   ::)  I think you've done fab by getting this far and having made all those things, don't despair, you might have more energy tomorrow.   smile

At the moment, absolutely nothing and it's lovely to have break.  Before Christmas I was so busy making bags for craft fayres, presents, comissions for people (including a nine foot draught excluder ;D) that I decided to stop for January and spend some quality time with my children doing fun stuff.

But I'm sure, come the end of January, I'll be itching to get back into it.  I keep looking longingly at my fabric drawers and start thinking about all the projects I want to do.
