Oh, oh, oh and I stood in a hall of mirrors in the science museum and thought “yuk, that one makes me look about 5 months pregnant” before realising it was the normal mirror.  Sigh.

I’ve got that 5 month pregnant look as well! Can’t see me ever losing it, as there is way too much stretched muscle and skin there :(

Hi,

I’ve lost 4 lbs so i’m now 12st 10lbs. I’ve been doing yoga and i’ve not had anything bad (apart from 140g bar of choc on Sunday but i had intended to have that, its in my nature grin )

I’m stuggling this week, drinking loads of water when it’s this cold! All i want to do is eat stew and cakes!!!! Plus DD had been ill all weekend and this week so i’ve had no sleep and she very clingy so the yoga hasn’t been done since the weekend.

A tip that i used yesterday when i was pondering a big breakfast, weigh yourself then if you’ve done well it spurs you on a bit and if you haven’t you know you shouldn’t!

Well done everyone

xx

Can I join you guys?
I think I have put on so much as breastfeeding leaves me ravenous as I wasn’t to bad when pregnant and afterwards, it has just slowly crept on since the birth, and at the moment I weigh 10stone 4lbs.
I am trying to do some yoga every few days and do weights, toning exercises with my husband every other day unless it has been busy/tiring and then we figure that’s enough exercise wink

Might see if I can borrow my mums pedometer as I am interested to know how many steps I do, I have a little one who never sits down - she wakes up starts walking and unless strapped in for food, etc doesn’t stop walking until bedtime, then sometimes it carries on as she walks round her cot in her sleep! And I’m the one that is just behind her!!

Look forward to next week(ish)
Good luck ladies,
sarie

I have had a pretty good week on the whole and feel far better for it already but the scales are not very reliable to say the least. I think I have lost 2lb but the scale is so small that I can’t read it accurately without bending down, and then of course it gives you a different reading anyway! They also have a dial on the front which changes the position of the needle and I have a little one who loves to fiddle so all in all, the scales are as good as useless.

Anyone got any recommendations? I don’t really want to buy new ones, and the chance of getting an accurate reading in Boots complete with bags and toddler etc is remote! Suppose I could try freecycle…

In many ways it is not what the scales say that counts anyway, but I do like the idea of giving you girls regular updates to make me accountable for my choices!

Well done everyone!  I’m very impressed that i’m the only slacker LOL (typical)

I got a stepometer once (or whatever they’re called) and by 2pm I had done around 21000 steps so by rights I should be a tiny weeny person!

I’m pleasantly suprised I’ve lost 8.8lbs smile

I may have put it back on inhaling the bread, I made yesterday, for my tea tonight.

Thanks smile  Yeah very suprised because I’ve nto really been following slimming world at all - but I have tried not to snack inbetween meals.. and of course I am doing so much more walking these days… now if I can just get into the slimmingworld though pattern just imagine how much I could loose.

Knees not as painful too….so hoping get a stone off and I’ll be able to be even more active.

Joxy.

Brilliant!  Hopefully being more active will help the weight come off too grin

Sundog, my scales are exactly like that, plus they change according to which bit of the floor they are on.  So i’ve found the bit of floor that shows me the lightest and always weigh myself there LOL.  Plus have to resist the urge to slightly tamper with the dial and so lose an extra pound grin

Everyone is doing brilliantly, I think you have something with the not snacking Joxy, that is where I fall down even when I am otherwise healthy and exercises the snacks especially in the evening do add up.

Em, my mum never had scales in the house the whole time we were growing up, still doesn’t for the same reason you mention although she is still succeptable to slipping when down.  Be cautious.

Good luck for next week all,
sarie
