Morning all,
Parking for the Green Festival is in the streets around the area, we have always managed to find a spot fairly easily. One side of the park is a very hilly area for parking but keep going round and the other is better and tends to have more spaces.

We could do Thursday next week, Rufford would be great.Anyone else ?
Emily’s mum - are you up for Green Festival and Rufford ?

Love to all
Now must pack for this weekend lol

Hi

I’m up for Thursday at Rufford!  Can’t wait to meet you all!!!!  When we know who can come we can arrange a time and venue to meet.  Perhaps we should all make “greenie” flags to stick on our cars to recognise each other!!! LOL

Thanks mama4 for the parking advice.  I’m actually really excited about the Green Festival now and can’t wait! :0)

Ooooh Thursday at Rufford does sound great! Never been there before but looked at map and know where Edwinstowe and it looks near there so should be ok confused   I think it would take us about and hour so could be there by about 10, how about you? Where do you park? Is it just one car park or several?

I think we’ll go to the green festival too sounds great grin

I’m getting very excited - our first GP meet up!

I love Rufford and it is very near Edwinstowe yeah smile

The only problem is, I’m reliant on public transport and there are no busses from here to there, the closest I can get is about a mile away but I don’t think it’d be safe to walk along the main road (there’s no path). Hmmm, I’ll see if I can find a way round it because I’d love to come too.

I can’t wait for Thursday and next Sunday now!  How exciting.  10am is fine for us.  There is a main car park and a side car park which is harder to find, so shall we arrange for the main car park?  How are we going to find each other?????

For those who haven’t been before by the way, there is a massive lake with loads of ducks which like being fed, plus a new children’s garden and a new big play area.  Shall we all bring picnics and rugs?

I think picnics are best.

Naomi - perhaps one of us is going your way or could at least pick you up from the bus stop! Where are you and the bus stop?

Is there a particular place like shop or centre that we could meet at? Recognising each other? I don’t know - this is like a blind date lol - maybe each link/put up a photo so we know who we’re looking for! Either that or we’ll all have to wear something bizzare lol

Charlotte- my dh is at work but your’s is more than welcome smile He doesn’t need to be scared of us cheese

Kate - I’ve had the very generous offer of a lift from Ally, thanks for the thought, very kind of you smile

I think photos would be a good idea just so we have an idea of who we’re looking for or we could all carry a GP magazine! wink LOL. Sorry couldn’t resist.

sorry I meant to add about meeting up, it nearly always happens organically, so many times I’ve been to home ed events and everyone has worried about finding each other but generally it’s fine.If we all aim to be in the main car park at 10am, slings, babies and boobs should be the giveaway lol
I will be there with my 11 year old daughter and 20 month old son ( possibly my older son too ) but how abouts that morning we all post what colour top we are wearing.
The main rule is not to be shy and keep asking people ” are you a green parent ” .. which could either lead to finding us all or being arrested lol

love all

lol mama4, that made me laugh.

Personally, I’ll be wearing a very colourful Ellaroo sling (and 8 month old baby lol) so should be quite easy to find wink

Mama4, that made me laugh too! and you Naomi!

I shall be featuring a rather striking burgundy kari-me wrap and two very excited little boys.

There is a little courtyard with shops not far from the car park.  If you head from the car park towards the Abbey but go to what was the stable block and not the Abbey, you will find the courtyard with the shops.

Do you think it would be a good idea for a central mobile number incase people get lost etc?  I have a spare sim card doing nothing in a spare phone so if you think this is a good idea I will post the number to you all - what do you think?
