OH, me too, me too…jumping up and down waving!!!!
Thanks Mama4 for pointing this thread out to me! I’m just south of Lincoln and would love to meet you all at Rufford- not too far from us and never been there before so good to have an adventure. It’ll be me and Emily (nearly 5) as Tomas is at nursery all day (I usually work but it is the half term) I’ll have my hair in platts and have a bright swirly skirt on (pink, yellow, turquoise, something like that!) Emily is the noisy one in bright colours too… you won’t miss us!

Hi all

Sorry about briefness of last post- OH was dancing at my elbow saying ’ I NEEEEED The Computer’ ......

Anyway- Im also a Nottm mummy- we are between Southwell and Nottm- so Rufford is an excellent option and I have a season ticket there…..except I’m busy on Thursday…...boo hiss- not put off able either as it has been a much rearranged paydate already….....
Am really disappointed!

Not sure about Green festival either- as we are off on hols next day- will see how preparations go over the week…....

Obviously if paydate gets rearranged again then I’ll be there…..

Would be great to meet you all/see those I’ve met before again…....

Hi Amanda

That’s a shame that you can’t make Thursday or Sunday but I really hope that we can make these ‘get-togethers’ a fairly regular thing as we would all love to meet you!

Take care

Just thought I’d say hello and “it’s sun shining!!!!!”

We’re off out into the garden later for planting and weeding and fun.  What are you all doing?  Something fun and nice I hope.

Ooh this is all very exciting - thanks Mummaroon for pointing me in this direction. For once in my life I actually have a relatively clear diary and should be able to make both Thursday and Sunday! We are in Belper in Derbyshire and I think Rufford is just about an hour for us too, us being DS (2) and I on Thu and hopefully plus DH and DD (Dear Dog!  LOL ) on Sunday.

It will be lovely to see you all. Fingers crossed for fantastic weather. We have just got back from the most wonderful weekend at Off The Tracks festival in Castle Donnington. Did any of you go? We go every May and highly recommend it. DS was amazing and took to it like a duck to water this time, playing beautifully with all the other children and boogieing the night away grin (looking for a proud smiley…  smile ). Time to put my very tired, freshly bathed little chick to bed soon now tho!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday.

Hi Sundog - really glad that you can join us all on Thursday and Sunday!!!  grin

What is the Off the Tracks Festival?  Do you camp over or is it a day one?  (sorry if everyone else knows what it is LOL)

I meant to say, a central mobile number would be a good idea for me as I will be a bit nervous of getting lost/delayed smile

Sorry, I was posting at the same time! OTT is a 3 day festival based on the site of a hotel and campsite. It is a beautiful location and very intimate compared to most other festivals. It has 2 stages, one in the hotel courtyard and the other in a beautiful big barn. Loads of real ale (until it runs out smile ) and a great mix of music, workshops and even the ‘Energy Orchard’ where you can receive loads of different therapeutic treatments or take part in yoga/meditation/singing/tai chi etc etc. sessions all for a donation at your discretion. It is absolutely fantastic for children of all ages and they all especially love sitting/playing/dancing on the huge old cart in the court yard whilst Mums and Dads chill out to the music nearby. I could go on an on about it but why not Google it and see for yourself! There is also a festival every September which is also lovely but we prefer the May ones as it is more outdoorsy. In September all the music is indoors and is just not quite the same for us.

I feel a big GP festival meet coming this time next year!  wink
