I'm thinking of buying a pasta maker/machine, and wondered if anyone on here has one? If so, do you use it much, is it easy to use or is it more hassle than it's worth?  Also, can anyone recommend a good model?  I don't want to buy one and then end up shoving it in the cupboard under the sink through lack of use! Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

i'm afraid that ours hasn't even been out of the box- It was a wedding gift (6 years ago) and we still haven't got round to it. Will hopefully use it once LO's are bigger- more of an activity than just for lunch, there is such a good range of good pasta avaliable now (I even saw in Asda yesterday organic Scooby Doo pasta shapes!)

We have one, did not cost alot but have never used it , well may be once. Before buying it when we had an abundance of chuccky eggs (before fox) we used them to make fresh pasta- a rolling pin was sufficient.

Oh dear, from what you've all said, it sounds as though it's likely I WOULD end up shoving the pasta machine under the sink if I bought one! Maybe I'll leave off getting one for a bit then! Queenie, thank you for your kind offer, if I'm ever in your area I would love to drop in for coffee! Maybe we could do a swap, I've got an ice-cream maker someone bought me for a present which I've never used!! I wonder what other unused kitchen appliances people have got lurking in their cupboards? Maybe we should start another thread for that!
