Patience is a virtue!  I’m glad things are working out, it’s a about time your big break came.  Guess we won’t be seeing you on here as much, but you’ll still be in my thoughts.

Today went really well.  My mindee is a happy little soul who finds Rye hilarious grin, and he was equally taken with her, kissing and hugging her all the time, while out at the post office she started to get a little restless in the puschair and Rye told me that she was upset and needed “carry”  lol.  He insisted on pushing the pushchair too grin

And of course, she’d only been with me 45 minutes and she fell over and clonked herself on the fairy castle - there’s a piece on the drawbridge that realised afterwards is actually quite sharp, so that’s now dismantled and out of the way until she’s a little more surefoot with this walking lark.  So when her mum called at lunchtime I had to tell her that her daughter fell over.  Her mum was very chilled though grin

So yep going well and it’s so lovely to be a childminder with child! wink

Interestingly enough, the mum who came to see me last week, called last night too - lol she didn’t realise she’d already been to see me.  When she realised she commented she’d been meaning to call me and made a comment about wanting her daughter to mix with more children and as it was just Rye…. which actually, doesn’t make sense because any childminder can only have 3 kiddies under 5, I mentioned that I’d just taken on another child and I could still take her daughter if she wanted me to - but I don’t think she will be in contact again, fair dos - my setting won’t appeal to everyone.

Tomorrow will be a very busy day.  It’s the toddler group xmas party in the morning, then I decided to go to Kids Planet afterwards (to meet up with the HE grp) because a few hours later I’ve got a hospital appointment for my hearing test, so we will then go onto that.  wink  Think I@ll be shoving something in the slowcooker in the morning for tea lol.

Yay!  I would have been so daunted at the prospect of an unknown child coming for so long so big kudos to you for taking it in your stride and dealing with it so well.
