Bring your air plants along with your beach gear and string them together in between rock-pool expeditions.
YOU WILL NEED
- Fishing string
- Sea urchin shells (If you’re lucky you’ll find these washed up on the beach. Otherwise use a regular shell)
- Air plants
INSTRUCTIONS
- Tie a piece of fishing string around the top of an air plant cutting
- Now thread it through the hole in the sea urchin shell
- Anchor inside other shaped shells before threading
- Repeat to make a whole school of jellyfish
- Either tie the school of jellyfish to a piece of driftwood to display or to a branch in an outside tree
TIPS - Add a little bell when threading the jellyfish for an added sensory element of sound.Tillandsia like sunny spots. Keep your air plants healthy by spritzing them on a weekly basis with water. If they’re very dehydrated, bring them back to life by immersing in a bowl of water for an hour
