Bring your air plants along with your beach gear and string them together in between rock-pool expeditions.

YOU WILL NEED

  • Fishing string
  • Sea urchin shells (If you’re lucky you’ll find these washed up on the beach. Otherwise use a regular shell)
  • Air plants

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Tie a piece of fishing string around the top of an air plant cutting
  2. Now thread it through the hole in the sea urchin shell
  3. Anchor inside other shaped shells before threading
  4. Repeat to make a whole school of jellyfish
  5. Either tie the school of jellyfish to a piece of driftwood to display or to a branch in an outside tree

TIPS - Add a little bell when threading the jellyfish for an added sensory element of sound.Tillandsia like sunny spots. Keep your air plants healthy by spritzing them on a weekly basis with water. If they’re very dehydrated, bring them back to life by immersing in a bowl of water for an hour
