A celebration of scrimping with style comes to the North East on 17-18 Sept. The Festival of Thrift in Darlington aims to show people how reusing, recycling and upcycling can be fun, save them money and benefit the environment at the same time.

Festival director, Stella Hall said: “Thrift is more than a trend – it’s here to stay, it’s a culture and a set of values to live by.
