Celebrating the 100th Issue!

​The Green Parent started life in a tiny Cornish cottage on the clifftop. We made a folded prototype by the fire and toyed with names for the magazine that was to become our family livelihood so that we could home educate our children and work from home.

At the time my older daughters were four and two and I’d struggled to find supportive, uplifting reading on raising kids. The next step, having worked in magazine production prior to becoming a mum, seemed to be to create our own. That was seventeen years ago.

MOTHERING AND MAGAZINES!
This Spring we celebrate 100 issues of this radical parenting magazine. I now have three daughters, aged 21, 19 and one and although making a magazine every two months alongside mothering has been challenging at times, I still love my job with a passion. I still get super excited about each issue we publish.

It feels worth celebrating even more that we reached our 100th edition after the year we’ve all had. We want to bring light and hope into readers homes with this fresh, vibrant magazine. We have so much to thank all our loyal readers for, and all the awesome companies who advertise in our pages.
