There is a real sense that they are longing to help and interact with them. The children react with wonder and appreciation. Often a child will take time to connect with them. They will remain unusually focussed, before choosing which crystals will help them. One mother brought her seven year old son to see me, “Brady is very receptive of the crystals and loves to choose some that will be used for the healing work,” she shares. “He always asks when he can go again.”
The way the treatment works
During the treatment I ask the child to choose one of the crystals and they decide where it needs to be placed on their body. Children seem to know intuitively where the it should be placed and for how long. The feedback on how the crystal is affecting them is remarkable. They are able to sense the energy moving and are often able to tell me which part of their body it is healing. My perception is that children’s energy systems expand and merge with the energies of the crystals, restoring the aura to a crystal clear vibration of purity and wholeness
Through these experiences children become more conscious of their bodies sensing where there might be tension. They discover how, with the help of the crystals, these feelings can change into lightness and expansion. This awareness is a tool for life, being able to monitor how you are feeling and what is going on in the body. Being able to address what doesn’t feel quite right. Children sense the different vibrations of each crystal, and how they can bring the mind and body back into balance, helping to dissipate fears, and restoring calm.
The Love Stone
I work with many different crystals but rose quartz is a favourite with children. They often describe it as soft, calm and gentle. Rose quartz helps clear stress and trauma from the emotional body. Not necessarily big trauma, anger and arguments at home, the pressures of school and society, and negative emotions, can all affect the child’s sensitive energy system. Working with the healing energy of the crystals, the stress or trauma can be released relatively quickly, and balance restored. The more stresses can be cleared from a child’s energy field, the less held emotions are taken into adulthood.
Complementing the crystals, I work with colour, sound, power animals and nature though visualisations, all of which are powerful modems for healing, and connecting the child to his wise self. It is very empowering for a child to use a particular colour, animal, flower, tree etc that they have chosen for themselves. By visualising it they can then experience the energy of their choice healing a particular part of the body. Children like to work with power animals; I encourage them to tell me which animal they feel is with them. Their descriptions are so quick and vivid, one little girl always says she has a robin with her who protects her. Another girl who is 14 years old sees a gentle deer around her. For some it is animals that are most comforting, other resonate with trees. Imagine yourself in a tree I ask and the child will describe the tree and how it makes them feel. Often this is their safe place and the tree is their friend.
In the intuitive groups that I run for children I often work with sound using various different instruments, and getting them to experience how different instruments affect them. Some children find that the sound from the crystal bowls goes right through and around them. They love to relax and absorb the sound. Crystal bowls seem to inspire awe and a connection to a deeply peaceful place inside. I then ask the children to give the adults in the circle a healing sound bath, using the drums, pentatonic xylophone, rattles etc. I encourage them to really ask for the healing energy to come through as they play, so that they can experience what powerful healing energies they can access. One teenager explained afterwards that as she played the drum she saw a circle of Native Americans surrounding us all. It is an amazing experience for us adults to receive a powerful joyful sound bath from the children, and to witness them in their radiant magnificence.
Both adults and children play a selection of games to develop the intuition in the group. For many of the children it comes naturally and the enthusiasm is enormous. One of us might go out of the room and then return to guess which person is holding a crystal. Or to guess what colour, animal or emotion we are all concentrating on. This requires focus and concentration and the child is encouraged to sit in silence for a moment and to guess intuitively.
Crystals are vital tools in encouraging intuition and imagination in this time of technology, constant noise and stimulation and an education system that focuses on the right side of the brain. Working with these energies is empowering for children and helps to align them with the wise part of themselves. It helps the development of focus, which brings confidence, joy and a sense of wellbeing.
In these times of immense change and potential, with the high vibrational children that are now on this planet and more and more being born, there is a hunger for spiritual connection and that includes working with the sacred wonders of crystals and nature as a whole.
