The mothering energy of the full moon often pulls us to support and help those around us, but to ward off the PMT and PMS symptoms of the waning moon and enchantress week, we need to find a balance between helping others and maintaining compassion and empathy for ourselves.

While it is loving and honourable to want to do our best for those we care about, we can only offer what we have the strength and time to give without depleting ourselves. To find balance, look for what you need, or perhaps what aspect of your life that has taken a back burner while your attention has been pulled elsewhere. Shine some moon light on that and the enchantress won’t feel the need to protect your energy quite so fiercely.

JOURNAL PROMPT

A great deal of the frustration we experience during the premenstrual phase is over to feeling unseen, unappreciated and overwhelmed by all that we do. If we can address some of those things while in the mother energy, we don’t reach the point of angry explosions and harsh words. To be overwhelmed is to be doing too much, what can you say no to instead of yes? To be unseen and unappreciated by others often means we are not taking the time to honour ourselves and we are hoping that someone else will do that for us. What can you do for yourself this week to honour and value all that you do?
