Penny Griffiths, a Woodland Trust supporter from Bewdley, wanted to celebrate her newborn in a less commercial way than buying teddies and racks of clothes, so decided to mark the occasion with an environmentally friendly dedication instead. She said: “I couldn’t think of a better way to welcome a new baby than dedicating a tree that will grow with them.”
