My background is in herbal science and cosmetology. I have been in the industry for 3 decades and I am the person behind well known labels on the market today. I live in Finland, in beautiful countryside. My family includes a husband and daughter. I do genealogy and writing. I am particularly interested in folklore. Which also combines in my work.
MY MORNING ROUTINE
Most mornings, I wake up around 7 am—a little earlier in the summer. The summer isn’t endless in Finland, but there are almost endless summer days and white nights. During summer there are equally long days with no real “dark” nights. I meditate and enjoy the silence, I listen to the sounds of nature, I live on the edge of the forest. A quiet morning is best for an active day. I eat a lot of berries with curd. My skin care is a morning routine where I take my own time at the same time for myself. I use my own brands like Anumati Skincare and Wild Pharmacy. Nature is close to me at home, in my family and on my skin. The morning continues with organic coffee, that’s when I get the best thoughts, and I start working.
MY FUTURE PLANS
I am very open to whatever opportunities the future may hold, especially with my work as formulator. I want to continue in the field of beauty care as an educator and writer.

The thought for my latest creation - an empowering cosmetics series for young people - was born in 2014. After been making plant-based care oils and herbs for years and developing a series of cosmetics with clean ingredients, I knew I wanted to create something unique that had also a powerful message. I wanted to do my part in improving the wellbeing of young people of today. For me personally, developing the series worked also as a journey to better self-confidence and self-esteem.
Every product in the Wild Pharmacy series has a theme and each theme a deeper meaning - a meaning to do good. We developed the series together with young people between 11 and 25 years of age, to give them a voice to tell their real, honest, and direct stories through the series. Feedback and comments were really important so that the series became just right.
Wild Pharmacy is not only for young people though - we have had great results also on adult skin. Wild Pharmacy skincare products are made of high-quality wild plants and organic ingredients.
