I’m proudly Nigerian, born in London and happily living in Manchester! I’ve always loved maths and took this into my career, being an Actuary by profession. However the healing power of nature’s beautiful butters and oils captured my heart many years ago whilst trying to self-treat my lifelong hyperkeratosis skin condition, look after my natural afro hair and work out how best to look after my little one’s skin once I became a mother. My formulations have been life changing for myself and loved by those around me, and it is so rewarding to now have them enjoyed by our customers around the world!
MY MORNING ROUTINE
I typically wake up at 5.15am on weekdays, and get ready to hit the gym when it opens 6am, fuelled by an espresso. My workouts are a combination of cardio and strength-based training. Sessions typically last 90 minutes on mornings where hubby does the school run, or 60 minutes when it is my turn. After working out I head home to shower and/or drop the kids off, then ready to get stuck into work! I intermittent fast so rarely eat breakfast. I try to get 2 litres of water in before lunch as it does wonders for my skin, and will have another coffee if I feel hungry. I take a number of supplements with my main meal including vitamin B, C, D12, Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, Omega 3 fish oils, Biotin (for healthy hair), iron and a good multivitaimin. I only use LoveShea products in my skincare routine, cleansing with African Black soap and moisturising with a Shea Souffle!
MY FUTURE PLANS
We’re really excited to be hosting a pop-up shop in a major department store later this year. This will be in our home location of Manchester. More details will be revealed on our social media channels in due course. We’re also preparing to launch our products on an online marketplace in France, with great distribution across Europe which will make it easier for us to reach our lovely customers overseas in the post-Brexit world!
