MY MORNING ROUTINE
I’m an early riser. I have a minimal skincare routine but have a shower with one of our Soap Folk soaps, make coffee on the stove using my trusty old Moka pot and a splash of oat milk. In the precious hour before everyone else gets up, I check my emails and make a list for the day ahead. On school days, the calm will be interrupted by the usual scrum for packed lunch and PE kits. I walk to the Soapery come rain or shine, which is a beautiful ten minute walk across the open countryside. This always sets me up for the day.

MY FUTURE PLANS
Next year features more of what we love doing most - creating and making beautiful, sustainable skincare products and gifts. We have some interesting collaborations planned which we’re particularly excited about. As we continue to grow, it’s really important that we retain our core values of kindness to people and the planet, so we’ll be continuing our search to find new ways to become even more sustainable.

3 THINGS ABOUT SOAP FOLK

  1. We’re entirely female-run and led and between us, we have 14 children, ranging from 6 to 18, (which basically makes us superheroes in disguise, particularly for keeping going during homeschooling!)
  2. We make all our products by hand in our workshop, the “Soapery” in the Stroud Valleys.
  3. Sustainability is at the heart of all we do, we’re proud to be palm oil-free, use certified organic and natural ingredients and use plastic-free packaging.
