Together we are co-founders of Truthbrush - the beautiful bamboo toothbrush, a sustainable oral care company that focuses on innovation and thoughtful design. We are lucky enough to live on the edge of beautiful Dartmoor in Devon. The two of us are also friends and neighbours, and often hang out together with our husbands and sons in the garden or at the Rafikis - the local vegetarian cafe.
MY MORNING ROUTINE
Catherine B - I am usually woken up by our little black pug Petal wanting her breakfast. The first thing I do is sleepily check my emails and then I need a large coffee in my favourite giant mug before I do anything else… I use Liz Earle Skin Repair Gel Cream and a layer of sunscreen before putting on my makeup and perfume (currently working my way through some Frederic Malle samples), and starting work.
Catherine W -Sleep is my priority as I am perpetually tired and so I often wake up at the last minute, feed my son and our cat, make myself a cup of Rooibos tea and some toast (often homemade bread), water my plants, make my son’s lunch and myself a large coffee for the road, before heading off to work. On special mornings I get to drop my son at school and have some time to myself before leaving. At the weekends I go for a run to the river (and sometimes a wild swim) & then treat myself & my family to pastries from our local artisan ice cream maker.
OUR FUTURE PLANS
We have just launched the worlds first solid bamboo electric toothbrush head so we will be promoting it world wide. We are always striving to improve our sustainable credentials and this is a key focus for us this year.
