INSPIRATION
We have been running our business since 2015 and have steadily grown our product range but kept to our ethos of natural botanical skincare, that is handcrafted with the best quality ingredients. We also run workshops and love teaching others to make natural soap and skincare products.
BEST BEAUTY ADVICE
Use oil on your skin even if it’s oily! This sounds counter intuitive, but using an oil based product to cleanse can actually help balance your oily skin. Over cleansing stimulates the sebaceous glands, which causes skin to over produce oil. Using oil based products will work with your sebum and have the opposite effect.
DESERT ISLAND PRODUCT
I can’t go a day without a great multipurpose balm. For dry skin, chapped lips, bug bites, scrapes and itches I think it would be as useful on that desert island as at home.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOUR BRAND?
We are currently on a mission to make shampoo bars; we’re doing lots of experimenting and testing new batches on ourselves but we’re getting close!
TAKE ACTION AT HOME
• Reduce your plastic bottles by switching to bars of soap, you can get shampoo and conditioner bars too that often come in plastic free packaging. They last ages and are perfect for traveling.
• Reusable sanitary products - my favourite is the organicup, but there are washable sanitary towels and reusable nappies too
• Sustainable wooden toothbrushes with natural bristles and there are lots of options for toothpaste now that doesn’t come in a tube…
