“I want to invite families to explore simple ways to be creative, and foster a spirit of life-long learning with their kids,” explains Nick. “Nature is my favourite artist. I love to make things from scratch, much the way our stone-age ancestors did. I find it so much more fulfilling to use handmade art tools.” He says that kids tend to be more playful and relaxed when they use equipment they’ve made themselves. Discover more about Nick and his philosophies and learn how to make paint from rocks and create nature stencils in the next issue, out this week.

Plus there’s heaps more inspiration inside from dealing with teens and screens, carving out some time for self-care, ideas for turning home education into play, get lots of yummy recipes and some top tips from health experts on boosting immune system holistically.
