Okay, so I have a few tins of tinned fruit lurking….ideas to make them more palatable to my fruit-loving-boy-who-wont-eat-tinned-fruit? At a push I’m thinking he *might* eat the pineapple but its not guaranteed. Other than lollies I cant think.

I have pineapples/mandarins/pears….I’ve tried using apples in muffins but they were very soggy and didn’t get eaten :-(

I’m hoping for snack-y things but of course that could be anything.

Anyone wink

Yep, I often use tinned fruit to make oaty bars - puree the fruit (gently- some chunks are fine) then add equal quantity of oats, stir, bake in a low oven until they look flapjacky. They don’t brown though, just dry out.

Smoothies, and then don’t add any other sweetener.

I use tinned fruit without adding sugar to make pies and crumbles. Other than that I agree with the PP and would hide in smoothies.

Pineapple on pizza, mandarins in an orange jelly (add the tin juice too as some of the jelly liquid) and pears drizzled with a little green and blacks cooking chocolate melted (actually that last option works well with pretty much any tinned fruit smile )

Just remembered, you’re veggie aren’t you? Can you get veggie jelly? x

What about blitzing the fruit and then freezing it? Lollies or something? Sorbet?...
