Looking forward to the weekend
I think I have met all the green parents who are going so I could be a good person to look out for!!
DD and Ds will both be in their onsies for the weekend, I’ll be in a flouncy summer party dress. as there is only one tent for the workshops I think it’ll be pretty easy to find each other.
We are planning to arrive early afternoon on the Friday
See you soon
Gill, Emily and Tomas
ETA- Rose, I haven’t met you yet have I?- I’m 5’62, long brown hair, dark-rimmed glasses, 2 very loud children age 7 and 9, you’ll find us!!
I’m also arriving early Friday afternoon. For those who haven’t met me - I’m five foot nothing with ‘geek’ style glasses and dark brown dreads that reach the middle of my back. I have three titchy girls!
enjoy and report back! i finally convinced myself yesterday that we could do a festival with dd…..only to discover it’s this weekend, and it’s sold out
one of these days i will learn how to carpe diem!
have a blast!
Hi, I’m quite nervous about going as it’s just me and dd but I’m determined to give it a go.
It’ll be nice to know that they’ll be somebody I can look out for. I’d give you a description of myself but I think it would be so boring you’d not want to meet up. Suffice to say I’ll be the nervous and shy looking one with a loud 7 year old trying to get me to join in with everything.
Hope to see you there. x
rose, i’m sure it wouldn’t be boring and everyone would love to meet you, don’t be hard on yourself - (hug)
i’m nominating you to carpe diem on my behalf - i particularly would have loved to take part in a drumming workshop, and maybe a tribal belly-dancing one, so maybe you could do them for me?
have a fantastic time, let your hair down, and follow your daughter’s lead
I am shy and reserved by nature, but I know that you 4 awesome ladies will be there, besides my local friends, and knowing that will help me dive in with DS.
The first festival DS and I went to, we knew nobody, which was intimidating, and hard with no adults I was ready to talk to. But we had a good time, I got to talking to some other mums (eventually) We’ve been to others since, and although we’re still fairly self contained (as we struggle to engage in big groups) and enjoyed them more and more.
^would you like to sponsor me to trek 26miles over Hadrian’s wall in aid of Macmillan cancer support?
Thank you. Yes I am trying to be much more carpe diem. Have you seen the O2 advert on YouTube, be more dog, in fact that’s my motto for the summer.
We are back and drying out from Saturday nights rain, anyone who did not make it…book up early for next year, it is just so good for children and mums, really friendly, just the right size and the people running the workshops are so lovely.
rose- so sorry we didn’t find you, I hope you had a lovely time and met some lovely people ( did you do the laughter yoga this morning?if so we probably hugged without even knowing it!)
It was lovely to see the other green mamas again (if only briefly) hope you all got home ok,
Hugs to you all
Gill, Emily and Tomas
