Hi there,
I live in North Wales, hence the Bore da (Good morning)
I’ve been on the Green Parent forum for years, but don’t seem to have ever introduced myself…
I’m a SAHM to two little ones, my daughter is age 5 (at a small village school) and my son is 2
Both children are woodchips, with Woodcraft folk, though my husband takes them so that I can get a bit of work done, as I also work part-time in early mornings, into the night and whenever I can squeeze it in smile
I bf both of them until 15m and 18m (though it took me 12 weeks with my son to get him established, and then found it very difficult to get him to stop at the end)
Co-sleep with my son, partly because when he stopped bf he attached himself to my moles on my face (only have a couple!) as his comforter and the stopping bf went so badly I can’t bear to wean him from my moles now - he calls me Mummy mole half the time!
I’m on the school PTA and am forever trying to encourage outdoor and wildlife things as I was a trustee treasurer with North Wales Wildlife Trust for 3 years and am passionate about children having Wild play outdoors - also supporting Project Wild Thing to get people back outside with their children
(oh, trained Chartered Accountant - sshh! - have done everything to try and avoid it since qualifying though smile )
My latest project is an online shop selling gorgeous GOTS certified cotton underwear and bright funky organic children’s and baby clothes and trying to expand my unisex range (in a desperate attempt to keep not being an accountant so that I can be at home for my children)
So, pretty busy and never have enough sleep ... so actually wonder if children would be better with me working full time and not being so grumpy ...
(PS have a tendency to splurge and give people too much information when they ask a question ... can you tell!)

Sorry Mama, only just realised you weren’t MamaPixie ... bit slow on the uptake! Is that the Talybont in Conwy? I used to drive through there regularly on the way to my Wildlife Trust trustee meetings! Does Aberaeron have a madly steep hill? Think we drove through there on the way down to stay in Pembrokeshire (lovely lovely lovely part of the world)

It was Talybont near Barmouth? So, so pretty up there, the beaches are amazing!

Aberaeron does have a steep hill, there is the very steep main road that goes up from Aberaeron into Ffosyffin (where I lived) but also there was a very very steep hill that goes up from Aberaeron into Ffosyffin that is an alternative route to the main road and it is very very steep and narrow and and it was the way I used to walk to and from Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron and it used to take half an hour. Walking home after a day at school used to be so tiring as the hill was hard to walk up. The views were amazing though! We could see Snowdonia!
