Oh Art! promotes a self-led, purposeful approach to the child’s creative exploration of the arts and visual communication, inspired by Bruno Munari’s “Playing with Art” method. We see the child’s initiation, intuition and self-direction as essential for the creative process to unfold. We offer gentle guidance, basing ourselves on current research in the fields of education, communication and psychology, and in this way, support each child’s development of creative, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
We create a space where children and parents or carers feel safe, welcome and supported by consistently utilising Positive Discipline tools and Non-Violent Communication model (NVC). We aim for children to feel positively challenged and confident, and to have their emotional and social needs met while at the setting. We believe children and adults alike benefit from seeing positive communication, behaviour and guidance modelled by Oh Art! facilitators.
The sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings are aimed for children between 2 and 5 years old, and places in our workshops are limited to 6 children per session to ensure a high quality and positive experience for each child. This month’s theme is exploring PRINTING.
If you are interested in booking a session with us, drop us an email to ohartproject(at) gmail dot com.
Costs: £10 p/child, £5 extra child. The costs cover high quality materials, tuition and organic fresh fruits for children. The sessions are from 10 - 11:30am on Wednesdays and Fridays.
