I’ve recently taken over the chair role at my childs schools’ PTA and am attempting to try and make it as low-waste as possible, whilst also keeping the children excited about our fundraisers and raising much needed funds for the school.
Does anyone out there have any tips? I’m particularly into plastic-free prizes for fairs etc.
Thanks in advance
No general tips but my local church runs an annual scarecrow trail which is really popular. It is a great low waste event as each entrant makes a scarecrow (usually from scrap materials). The scarecrows are displayed outside houses around the local area. Those entering pay a small fee to have their scarecrow in the competition and everyone else pays a small fee for a map/guide showing the route where all the scarecrows are.
