“I founded Lani (lovelani.com), a multi award-winning, natural, vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand in 2014. My interest in setting up my own beauty brand started after I went vegan in 2013. I found that most of my products that I used daily, were neither vegan, cruelty-free or made with ingredients I could even pronounce. I wanted simple, affordable, cruelty-free products that smell and feel amazing, and really work so I set out to make my own.

SELF-CARE SECRETS

I recently got into facial massage and am a big fan! Not only is it super relaxing but it really helps with lymphatic drainage and general skin health. I’m also a big fan of keeping it simple. We don’t need to over complicate our beauty routine. For me that means that on some nights I skip moisturizer all together and let me my skin just be. I personally don’t feel the need to add layer upon layer to my skin. The same goes for make up. I keep my daily make up minimal and there are days when I don’t wear any. It feels quite liberating.

BUSINESS PLANS

I’m working on some amazing new product launches at the moment. We’ve also got some exciting brand collaborations coming up and Lani is making its way to more retailers across the globe.”

THREE WAYS TO BE MORE SUSTAINABLE

WORK WITH WHAT YOU’VE GOT Work with what you have got initially, then replace any used up products with more conscious choices.

START SMALL Plus, small changes can make a big impact. Even just swapping out one of your products with a more eco friendly option can make a difference over time.

TAKE A DAY AT A TIME You don’t have to strive to be perfect, but aim to be better every day.
