About
Kathy Chillistone (Aromatherapist and Chandler) and Dave Winter (Silversmith) design and consciously handmake a range of products from their garden studio on the Isle of Wight. Their brand name is a mash of their surnames, and they have three children in their early 20’s between them. ChilliWinter is a side hustle - Kathy gave up the corporate world 5 years ago to pursue the business whilst also continuing as a Mental Health Instructor, and Dave is a full time key worker.
Sourcing materials locally, responsibly and sustainably, ChilliWinter also give back to their community through charitable fundraising, volunteering, as well as craft workshops. They have scooped 4 national awards reflecting the quality of their products, simplicity of ingredients and packaging and consumer relevance, focussing on remedial wellbeing.
They take pride in keeping their business model simple and intentionally small as a micro business. ChilliWinter doesn’t have a bricks and mortar shop, but their website, stockists and White Label clients keep them busy, alongside many fayres and events across the South of England, throughout the year.
