About

Inwoods Small School is a day school for primary - aged children (4 yrs old - 11 yrs old), which was established over 25 years ago. We are connected to Brockwood Park School, which was founded by educator philosopher, Jiddu Krishnamurti in 1969. Inwoods is situated on a beautiful two acre site in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire and much of the learning happens outside in nature.

We aim to provide an education that concerns the development of the whole child. We are a small school with a maximum of 30 children, who learn in mixed year groups. We believe that genuine relationships between teachers and children create a caring and trusting environment, where all have a voice. Through the learning process we encourage the children to be sensitive to learn about themselves and willing to question the world around them. The curriculum is designed to challenge each child individually and much of it is offered through hands-on projects that awaken curiosity, nurturing critical thinking and have a tangible meaning to each child.
