Pegs and Pitches offer ecological woodland camping in Sussex, set in two beautiful off-grid campsites, both allowing open campfires.
Both campsites are located in designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) and are within easy reach of London, Brighton, Hastings, Lewes, Haywards Heath, Eastbourne and the South Coast.
Beech Estate Campsite in East Sussex offers both tent pitches or fully equipped bell tents within the private 2000-acre Beech Estate, nestled on the edge of it’s own private 600-acre woodland. Perfect to explore by mountain bike or foot. Each pitch or bell tent is set within its own woodland glade and has it’s own campfire.
Wild Boar Wood Campsite, in The High Weald, has nine fully equipped bell bents, set inside a beautiful five-acre woodland. The wood and its surrounding 35-acre field teem with wildlife. The peace and tranquility is only interrupted as the historic and spectacular Bluebell Railway locomotives occasionally thunder past the very edge of the woodland campsite! Each bell tent has it’s own firepit and we also have two large communal firepits for you to gather around with friends and family.
We are very family focused campsites so do have group pitches and areas available for those wishing to camp with a group of families and friends. Wild Boar Wood Campsite and its nine bell tents can be booked exclusively for families wishing to gather together.
