A light that enables us to rediscover what is important to us and what will truly drive us forward into the approaching summer season.

When we sit in quiet and stillness the aim is not to shut out all the thoughts and emotions that arise but instead to listen to them and allow them to pass through us until the surface makes way for our intuitive and instinctive selves.

The new moon to me has always been the moment of rebirth after the total darkness of the dark moon. The growing light is equal to the growing sense of self as we return from the dark with hard won understandings and the keys to the next door along our path. If we can take the time for quiet, we must also take time to shape the wisps of ideas into a tangible plan for forward motion. I invite you this week to ponder what it is you want for yourself.

When you sit in the quiet what do you hear from deep within?

This week I invite you to divide this phase into the dark moon introspection and the new moon rebirth. What do you think is waiting for you in the quiet dark? Does it feel expansive like a night sky or intimidating like a dark cave? What does that mean for your ability to be still and silent with yourself?
