Our bank holiday this week offers one extra day of rest before the maiden new moon energy comes in to propel us into the rush of September, and the underlying sense of preparation that autumn brings says Adeola Sheehy

Try to observe how you experience the transition this week and it may offer you insights into your personal cycle. Do you resist the change and cling to the summer drinking down every last drop, or are you meeting it head on, almost rushing into it and forgetting to be present in these last few days of summer?

The more we can connect in with our own experience, the more our bodies can show us what we need and how to get it. This knowledge enables us to continually return to our centre and stay balanced when we need it most, so I invite you to spend this week just noticing.

JOURNAL PROMPT

Noticing how you respond to the transition points between the seasons can show us a lot about how we experience time passing and how we may at times try to stay in a moment long after it is time to let go. Whether that be situations, or with people, or even accepting our own ageing. How do you feel about time passing?

If there are certain people, situations or even seasons you hold on to, get you ask yourself what is it you are trying to keep hold of? What is it you are afraid of losing or perhaps changing into something else?
