INSPIRATION
I founded Barefaced Beauty in 2005 after finding that the totally natural and animal friendly make-up I was looking for, appeared only to be available in the USA and was very expensive. I had extremely sensitive skin and had tried many different well-known brands that were alleged to be natural, but in fact, contained parabens, alcohol or other chemical ‘nasties’ which I felt sure were the cause of my skin sensitivity and break-outs. Our mineral makeup is made from naturally derived ingredients, is free from nasty chemicals, parabens, ethanol alcohol and perfume and with natural healing properties, is beneficial to sensitive and problematic skin.
BEST BEAUTY ADVICE
My mother used to say that nobody is perfect, but that eating well and sleeping well would keep you healthy and make you feel good - and ‘feeling good, is looking good’.

DESERT ISLAND PRODUCT
Coconut oil would be a strong contender, but on a desert island it would most probably already be in abundance! If I could choose to have any cosmetic product in the world with me, then it would be Barefaced Beauty Mineral Foundation. It can last all day without the need for a touch- up and importantly, contains natural sun protective properties. I would of course, at all times, wish to be looking my very best… as, who knows who might be on their way to rescue me!

TAKE ACTION AT HOME
• Bamboo toothbrushes are ideal
• Eliminate the use of chemical bathroom cleaning products. Natural household store cupboard ingredients such as lemon juice, white vinegar or baking soda can be highly effective and much safer for the environment.
• Always look for organic companies.
