Hello!

Happy nearly weekend.

I forgot to mention last week that I’m on a simplicity tip this month. I realised that I’d been getting disconnected and tired.

I felt like I’d lost my mojo.

I wasn’t sure how to get it back but I guessed that slowing down and having a bit of a digital detox would probably help.

I’m a week into my simplicity project.

Read on to find out how it’s going!

What I’ve been up to:

READING CHILDREN'S BOOKS

I’ve had more time and space to read books with my youngest. A book we loved this week is Beti and the Little Round House by Atinuke. It’s a book of four seasons, each telling a simple tale of Beti and her family, in their handbuilt roundhouse, with no tv or phones, just goats, chickens and lots of vegetables. My daughter wants to live in the story!

Author, Atinuke lived in a roundhouse with her toddler son in Wales, after she moved to the UK, from Lagos. The illustrations by Emily Hughes are bewitching. It’s just such a heartwarming book – the type that I want to buy for everyone as gifts. A copy is already winging its way to my niece.
