Hello and happy Friday to you!

Guess what?

We've just finished another magazine!

It's been a deadline week here; issue 121 is now all wrapped up and will be dropping onto doormats in 3 weeks time.

I'm so excited about it! It's our abundance special; I had so much fun putting it together. I got to speak to some amazing people and learnt lots, pre-order your copy here.

Alongside finishing an issue I also read some books, integrated some of the lessons from a weekend of workshops, and role-played being a stone age mum.

Here's what I've been up to this week

Reading lots of books!

This week my reading has been a mixture of fiction and non. Whilst at Heart of the Rose festival I reread Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, which was a sweet and timely reminder about modelling love and stewardship for our children.

Last night I read The Heart in Winter by Kevin Barry in about 4 hours - I just couldn't put it down. It's such a rich tale and the writing is mesmerising. It was like an edible book - I needed to inhale it! As was Liars by Sarah Manguso. I read it in 24 hours - it's sooo good; a novel about being a wife, mother and artist within a toxic relationship. It reminded me of The Exhibitionist by Charlotte Mendelson. I actually woke up in the middle of the night to read Sarah's book - the story was so compelling!

I've been reading Wild Creature Mind, an exciting new book by Steve Biddulph and The Laws of Connection by David Robson. Both have shed light on new research about the ways our brains work and given me some serious stuff to think about.
