For many families, they're an opportunity to step away from the routines of the school term and embrace experiences that spark imagination, encourage participation and allow children to try something new.
This belief has been at the heart of The Strings Club since it was founded in 2012 by musician and mum Amy Cunningham.
Having taught hundreds of children each week as a violin teacher, Amy witnessed first-hand the powerful role music could play in children's development. Beyond learning an instrument, she saw music helping children develop self-belief, form friendships, express themselves and uncover talents they never knew they had.
Inspired by these experiences, she launched a small music-led Holiday Camp in Camden, North London. Just six children attended that first camp.

Today, The Strings Club has grown organically to more than 20 venues across London, the Midlands and Warwickshire, inspiring almost half a million children through the joys and benefits of music. Alongside its continued organic growth, the organisation is also expanding through a dedicated franchise network, enabling purpose-led entrepreneurs to bring The Strings Club to their local communities.
At every Holiday Camp, children aged 4-11 enjoy a carefully-curated blend of music, outdoor play and imaginative activities. Interactive guitar, violin and ukulele sessions sit alongside creative workshops, games and projects designed to encourage teamwork, exploration and participation.
Importantly, Camps are proudly screen-free.
Many families tell us they value opportunities for their children to spend time making music, being active, creating with their hands and sharing experiences with others. Parents frequently tell us their children return home with new interests, lasting friendships and a greater sense of confidence in themselves.

The benefits of music are woven throughout the experience. Research has long highlighted music's ability to support concentration, communication, emotional wellbeing and social development. At The Strings Club, music provides a shared experience that brings children together whilst encouraging personal growth and self-expression.
In an increasingly busy world, many parents are seeking opportunities for their children to slow down and become fully absorbed in an activity. Whether learning a new chord, performing alongside friends or working together on a creative project, music naturally encourages children to listen, communicate and collaborate. These experiences help nurture resilience, self-esteem and a sense of belonging - qualities that often extend far beyond the school holidays themselves.
Families also value the warm and nurturing environment created by The Strings Club's experienced team. Every camp is designed to be inclusive, encouraging and supportive, ensuring children feel comfortable participating, trying something unfamiliar and celebrating their achievements.
Today, The Strings Club is proud to be a Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award winner, with over 500 verified 5-star reviews from families. The organisation is also Ofsted-registered, accepts Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers, and remains committed to creating positive childhood experiences through the joys and benefits of music.
For many families, school holidays are a welcome opportunity to step back from busy schedules and make room for the things that matter most - time for children to explore the world around them, enjoy unhurried moments of play and build the relationships, interests and experiences that shape childhood.
At The Strings Club, music provides the foundation for those experiences - helping children flourish both during the holidays and beyond.
