Hello and a very warm welcome to this week’s newsletter.

We’ve had a fun week making festive crafts and connecting with friends and family. Lots of magical, outdoor play. We just got home from a day in the woods with my dad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew, who's nine weeks old. He seems to love being outdoors, mesmerised by the skies and giant oaks.

At work, I've been in my happy place researching and planning the next edition, which comes out in January – the theme is Adventure. We've got features from a road-schooling family, a revolutionary mama, and the Seedsistas writing about supporting your moontime with herbs. You can pre-order a copy here.

What have we been doing:

Having a Clear Out

My daughter’s forest school are collecting for Pelican Parcels this festive season - a charity that supports disadvantaged families in Brighton. We’ve had a clear out of books and toys to donate towards their Secret Santa boxes. Last year the charity provided presents for over 3000 children in the city.

If you’re looking for somewhere to donate toys, and equipment, Little Village runs a network of baby banks in London, providing essential items including toys to families all year round – including a little extra festive cheer at Christmas. Donations will be doubled this week in their Big Give Week. Iris and I joined Circle of Toys – here you can donate a toy to a child or family impacted by war. To get involved, visit their website, register and select a request that you’d like to fulfill. We’ve also donated to Centrepoint, which is working to end youth homelessness.
